3. Sources and categories of data
We process the data that you have sent us in connection with your application to check your suitability for the position (or any other open positions in our company) and to carry out the application process. In addition, we process personal data that you have published on the Internet and which we are permitted to process in accordance with data protection laws. This includes, for example, your CV, career history, etc.4. Purposes and legal bases of the processed data
We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and other relevant laws.The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is primarily Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG. Accordingly, the processing of data required in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permitted.
This also includes the processing of communication data (user details, content data, connection data and comparable data) as part of the application process by internet-based communication tools.
Should the data be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing may be carried out based on the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in the assertion of or defense against claims.
We may process your personal communication data (user details, content data, connection data and comparable data) as part of the application process, in particular the digital conduct of job interviews, if the contract is initiated with the help of Internet-based communication tools, in order to simplify the organization of the application process and to be able to adapt it to the current needs of applicants and employers.
Furthermore, your voluntarily granted consent may be the legal basis for data processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (e.g. inclusion in the talent pool, newsletter for new job offers). The consent given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
If we process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you in advance.
5. Consequences of not providing data
As part of your application, you must provide the personal data that is required to establish the employment relationship or that we are legally obliged to collect.6. Automated decisions in individual cases including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR)
We do not use any purely automated decision-making processes. If we should use such a procedure in individual cases in the future, we will inform you separately if this is required by law.7. Recipients of the data
7.1 Within the EU/EEA
Only the persons and departments (e.g. specialist department, management, HR department) that require your personal data for the application process will receive it.Your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective open position. The further process is then coordinated. Only those persons who need your data for the proper execution of our application process will have access to it.
We also use a specialized software provider for the application process. This provider acts as a service provider for us and may also obtain knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and servicing of the systems. We have concluded a so-called data processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that the data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.
7.2 Outside the EU/EEA
If we transfer personal data to service providers or group companies outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the transfer will only take place if the third country has been confirmed by the EU Commission as having an adequate level of data protection or if other appropriate data protection guarantees (e.g. binding internal data protection regulations or EU standard contractual clauses) are in place.7.3 Overview of recipients

8. Duration of data storage
Applicants' data will be deleted after 6 months in the event of a rejection. If you agree to be added to the talent pool, your data will be deleted after 18 months.If you have been accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our personnel information system.
9. Your rights
Under certain circumstances, you can assert your data protection rights against us. If possible, your requests to exercise your rights should be addressed in writing or by e-mail to the address given above or directly in writing or by e-mail to our data protection officer.- You have the right to receive information from us about your data stored by us in accordance with the rules of Art. 15 GDPR (possibly with restrictions according to § 34 BDSG).
- At your request, we will correct the data stored about you in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR if it is inaccurate or incorrect.
- If you wish, we will delete your data in accordance with the principles of Art. 17 GDPR, provided that other legal regulations (e.g. statutory retention obligations or the restrictions according to § 35 BDSG) or an overriding interest on our part (e.g. to defend our rights and claims) do not conflict with this.
- Considering the requirements of Art. 18 GDPR, you can request us to restrict the processing of your data.
- If your personal data is processed based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR or if they are necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR if there are reasons for this arising from your situation or if the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
- You also have the right to receive your data under the conditions of Art. 20 GDPR in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to transmit it to a third party.
- In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time with effect for the future.
- You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). However, we recommend that you always address a complaint to our data protection officer first.
